Over the last couple weeks I've been stocking up on some inexpensive travel basics for my France/Italy trip. I hit up places like Nordstrom Rack (my personal fav.), the J Crew outlet, the Aldo outlet, and Target. I was mainly looking for comfy basics that could still be dressed up and chic if needed, a swimsuit for the beach, some good walking shoes that still were stylish, and a few fun accessories.

Window Blues

The sun is shining and I am staring out my office window pining to play outside. Since I can't be out in the beautiful weather, I can at least get into the spirit with a fun Spring time outfit. Tiki Time!

Last weekend I helped out a photographer friend and modeled for a sixties Tiki shoot. We shot the photos in Alameda at a great Tiki Lounge called Forbidden Island. The clothes were supplied by a vintage shop called Twisters. All the photography was shot by my girl Jessica Milberg. The shoot was a blast, I had so much fun meeting the other girls and playing dress-up in some awesome vintage threads! Here are some of the first shots!

It's all in the details

Today was a rainy day. I sort of hate the rain. I can never seam to dress appropriately when it's wet outside, i.e. I'm the girl rocking flats walking through giant puddles and spending the whole day at work with wet feet! Well today I managed to pull it together and I think I came up with a functional and cute outfit for the weather. I wore my Seven for All Man Kind chambray dress, Gap knitted leggings (similar here), and Aldo boots (similar here). I accessorized with a Chloe handbag (similar here), Coach scarf (similar here), and The North Face Trench coat (gotta love the work free-bees)!

Style Inspiration-Josh Hiney

Lot's of people have real husbands, not many have "work husbands", but I do. My work husband is Josh and I heart his real wife and their little french bulldog Tonka very much. But at work Josh is my buddy and friend, and as we joke my "work husband". Josh is fun, inspiring, and is always a support system for me. So today my style inspiration is josh, because he really knows how to class up the joint in his gentlemanly attire. I love this look and was thinking of creating my own looked based on it.
